For your listening pleasure, a mix by our very own groover Kate or as she's better known in the music scene Kravis!! This mix has range, with sprinkles of disco, jungle, and dare I say dirty DNB ~ It's a powerful mix that is sure to put a pep in your step on your Sunday walk, or perhaps add some spice to your Sunday reset... and if those options don't tickle your fancy, just save it for your next throw down.

I am...
My DJ alias is Kravis. You may have seen me throwing down at Flux Capacitor or just bopping around the Ōtautahi music scene. I grew up in South Canterbury, but have lived in Dunedin, Wellington, New York & now the amazing Ōtautahi!
How I would describe my music and some of my influences...
I love music that brings some kind of nostalgia, whether it be from the deep roots of 90’s jungle & garage to the U.S disco scene in the 80’s. When I plan a set I always consider how the dance floor will respond to the song. Danceability is an absolute MUST. I am a very multi genre DJ and I don’t think that will ever change. I grew up with a brother who is 7 years older than me, I always envied his music taste - I have fond memories of stealing his Daft Punk CDs as a 10 year old and dancing around in my room listening to them on my walkman. I love house, disco, garage, jungle, breaks & even drum & bass!
My idea behind the mix...
I wanted to create a mix that was chill, but still showing the range of genres I enjoy. I feel like a lot of times when I say I listen to jungle or the heavier stereotyped genres people always think the tunes are super intense. But there are many songs out there that still give the vibe of cruisy and chill. Even though the BPM is quite speedy, you can still lax out haha.
A trend I'm really into at the moment...
Oh gosh, I just love shoes! I am really stoked that old styles of shoes are being reintroduced and worn. The nostalgic vibes are my favourite.
My go to performance outfits...
Earplugs are a must! Protect your taringa, you only get hearing once! I wear a lot of bootleg pants, pinstripe & and mesh tops with prints on them. Also, a leather jacket helps you look like you have your shit together!
How everyone can support your music...
