Who are you?
Hey hey, I’m Joshua, the Manager of the Infinite Definite store. I am one of the regular faces, you’ll see when you wander on in and I also help style all the rad outfits that y’all see on our website, Instagram and other socials!
What are your current favourite home comforts?
Well the most important is definitely my plunger made Supreme Coffee, nothing beats making the whole kitchen smell like fresh coffee to start the day off!
I’m also a bit of a book worm and have started to accumulate a number of books and magazines which keeps me busy most days when I’m not working. My current favourites are my small collection of Collins Classic, Clear Type Press copies of the Last of the Mohicans, 2000 Leagues Under the Sea, Catriona and the Three Musketeers which I just found out were released in the early 1900’s.
Then it would be my drawing pens and any paper I can get my hand on at the time. It’s always nice to take a break and either doodle or draw something when I can.
What is a discovery or rediscovery you've made during this time?
Turns out I really am a sucker for collecting bits and bobs. It ranges from books & Magazines to a ’curated’ Stan Ray collection and a 1960’s Adler Typewriter I got for a penny on the dollar at a flea market. I am currently using the typewriter to (slowly) transcribe my Grandmothers Memoirs which has gotten me back into writing and is easily one of the best ways to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Where do you look for inspiration or escapism?
For me, it always changes day-to-day, but for inspiration, it tends to be in art, books, music and face timing friends. Nothing more inspiring then seeing some mates getting onto projects they have been talking about for a long time. Then with escapism, it’s just chucking my headphones on, playing some instrumental music from the likes of lucky.s or heliflopper and getting onto some old projects that I haven’t touched in a year or so.
If a parcel arrived on your doorstep from INF / DEF,
what would you love to be in it?
If I was to choose anything it would definitely be a matching Stan Ray jacket and pants set, it’s my go-to outfit at the moment. A Waffle Crew/Long Sleeve or Hoodie; Commoners, Gramicci and Norse Projects are great for this. Then either the black or grey Hasami Planter, it’s a tough decision really.
