Founded in 1894, Bata is one of the oldest kids on the block. Originating from the cobbler house of Tomáš Baťa in Czechoslovakia, Bata shoes flourished into an international shoe brand, opening factories all over the world. Even opening one in Wellington to produce industrial PVC Boots and work shoes.
